FOURTEEN DESIGNERS VS. FOURTEEN ARTIST

Artist Olaf Breuning and designer Cynthia Rowley have teamed up to create a new body of work. In Olaf’s case, it’s a series of photos, and for Cynthia, it’s a new collection. What you get to watch in this video is girls getting cans of paint dumped on them! And it happens forty-eight times.

MOVE! is part of MoMA PS1’s Free Space, an ongoing program that provides gallery spaces for exhibitions, events, studios, rehearsals, and other live presentations for “uninhibited artistic exploration and fresh contemporary art programming.”

The pairings include: Kalup Linzy and Diane von Furstenberg; Rob Pruitt and Marc Jacobs; Terence Koh and Italo Zucchelli (Calvin Klein Collection); Tauba Auerbach and Ohne Titel; Olaf Breuning and Cynthia Rowley; Brody Condon and Rodarte; Rashaad Newsome and Alexander Wang; Dan Colen and Proenza Schouler; David Blaine and Adam Kimmel; Jonah Bokaer and Narciso Rodriguez; The Cheryls and American Apparel; Ryan McNamara and Robert Geller; and TELFAR + Lizzie Fitch, Rhett LaRue, Fatima Al Qadiri, Ryan Trecartin, and Leilah Weinraub.
